This is the official sign-up portal for Ripples in the Ocean, a private screening + film forum.
This event is specially curated for Law students, faculty and staff who have an interest in film and learning about the role it plays in society.
It hopes to encourage the participants to view social issues in a more critical fashion, and to dare question the status quo. As most of mainstream media does not give much airtime to the addressing of social issues in a deeper manner than it should, we present casual discussions of films in an intellectual setting, to plug the gaps.
The event also aims to inspire Law students and young lawyers to pursue advocacy in film— to show that film doesn’t have to be a form of art that is brainless, and that well-qualified lawyers have also turned to film to make a statement on social issues or to champion worthy causes.
